Lil Wayne Issued Bench Warrant in Arizona
Even while serving time, Lil Wayne’s legal woes won’t go away. According to TMZ.com, Weezy has been issued a bench warrant in Arizona for missing a scheduled court date.
Lil Wayne (born Dwayne Carter) was scheduled to appear in a Yuma County courthouse due to a drug-related arrest where authorities discovered 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy pills and a .40 caliber handgun on his tour bus.
Though Wayne is currently incarcerated on Rikers Island in New York for another gun charge, Yuma County officials still issued the warrant for the missed court date. Weezy’s legal team has yet to respond to the bench warrant.
Michael Jackson Estate Signs Biggest Record Deal in History
According to sources familiar with the deal, MJ’s estate has reportedly signed a $200 million contract with Sony Music Entertainment, making it the biggest recording deal in history.
The contract will reportedly last through 2017 and amount up to $250 million if certain clauses are met. Under the deal, MJ's estate is expected to pump out 10 projects, including a video game, the re-release of Jackson’s “Off The Wall” opus, a DVD compilation of videos and a never-before-released album slated for a November drop date.

Beyonce and Lady Gaga Wanna Change Pop Videos
Beyoncé and Lady Gaga are ready to erase pop music. The two stars, who first teamed up on Beyoncé’s “Video Phone” remix video, have now rejoined forces with Gaga’s “Telephone” visual, which has been receiving mixed reviews to say the least.
In a recent interview with L.A. radio station Power 106, Lady Gaga tried her best to explain the video's plot.
“The video in a lot of ways is more about her even than it is about me,” Gaga explained. “It was sort of a pop-art venture for me to bring her into my world in a way, the video is an attempt for her and I to erase pop music as we know it up until this very point.”
“It’s meant to change the perspective of the world on what a pop music video should be and she’s kind of the vehicle for that,” the pop star continued. “In reality, more people around the world are familiar with her aesthetics than they are with mine. It was something for me to kind of change the way that you see her for one video.”
Meanwhile, the video's director, Jonas Akerlund, gave MTV a scene-by-scene breakdown of the video.
“The idea was always to not know until we see her, but we did add her name into the speaker at the beginning,” he explained about Beyoncé's first scene. “But the reveal of Beyoncé is kind of cool when she lifts her hat. Beyoncé’s time was so limited, so [we] really had prepared [and] rehearsed so much for her, but she had so much experience that we figured it out.”

Court documents show that Game is requesting the judge to not refer to him as a gangster or a gangsta rapper because it may lead the jury to become prejudice against him.
Game also asked that the judge refrain from focusing on any of his lyrics that contain any type of violence or profanity.
The rapper is currently in the studio wrapping up his forthcoming solo project, "The Red Album," which is scheduled for a 2010 summer release via Aftermath/Interscope Records.
Chris Brown Talks Exclusively To BET.com About His Visit To A Charter School In Harlem
Chris Brown went beyond his community service requirement when he made more than a few kids in Harlem happy on Thursday night, March 11. CB transformed himself from an R&B superstar into Sisulu-Walker Charter School's guest for "Family Read Night." The school's principal Dr. Dawn Cejas invited celebrities to its annual event, and Chris Brown accepted.
"I grew up in Harlem so as a kid, I used to hang out, play basketball in the streets, but I really didn't know the educational side, so being able to come here it was good for me," Brown said in an exclusive interview with BET.com.
Brown read the book "Superhero School" to third graders, even inviting a few students to read with him and sit next to him. After the reading, he took photos and signed autographs for the students.
Brown's visit was met with both praise and criticism from the press, who seem to be split on whether CB's move was a good one. While some see it as a publicity stunt to help clean up the singer's image, others have recognized Chris's dedication to community service. "I don't want the only thing they see on us to be dancing in the video, cars, clothes and just a whole bunch of stuff...but school helps you get to those places," he explained.

Speaking with BET.com on the set of "106 & Park" earlier this week (March 10), Luda showed no hesitation in calling himself a hip-hop legend. “Do I consider myself a legend?” Luda asked. “I absolutely do consider myself a damn legend after 10 years in the game. Yeah.”

The short-lived feud between Jay-Z and T-Pain has finally been put to rest. The beef began last year when Jay-Z released the song “D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune)” off "The Blueprint 3" album. T-Pain later insulted Jay during a show in Las Vegas. However, T-Pain, speaking to MTV News, revealed that there is no more animosity between the two of them. “We talked at the Grammys,” T-Pain said. “It was a pretty big thing. Word for word, he said, ‘That's [messed] up the way you took that song.’ I’m [crazy], so we gonna take the song like that. That’s how we take songs.
“He [Jay-Z] was like, ‘I didn't mean nothing by that,’” T-Pain continued. “I was like, ‘I already put out my apology song [“More Careful”]. So there you go. My bad. I apologize. Apologize for taking the song like that.’ We shook hands, did the little chest bump. That was the end of that.”

Drake Grabs Eminem & Dr Dre For Debut Album
Universal Music, who has a deal with Cash Money/Young Money to distribute their music, recently previewed a part of Drake's upcoming "Thank Me Later" debut album. The preview shows that the album will feature production from Kanye West, Timbaland and other top producers plus the write up shows that Drake has snagged Dr Dre and Eminem for his album.
According to the report, a track ("Fireworks") features a hook from Kings of Leon while another Kanye West-produced track on the album that features some history. It was made by Kanye for Beyonce, but Drake really wanted it so he wrote her a handwritten letter asking if he could use it which Beyonce read thought it was sweet and e-mailed him to give her permission. The Jay-Z/Drake track has a Jay-Z verse which Drake claims it is the greatest verse Jay's ever done. According to other reports, this Saturday Drake will be in L.A. doing a track with Dr. Dre and Eminem.
Lloyd Passes On Cash & Young Money
After he teamed up with Young Money for their recent "Bed Rock" single, singer Lloyd decided NOT to sign with Lil Wayne's Young Money or even Birdman's Cash Money, rather the hit singer has inked with Interscope Records. "Baby and Wayne were definitely the first people to reach out to me. I talked to them about a deal. That's who I thought I'd end up with in my heart," Lloyd explained. "The problem is that Young Money/ Cash Money is exclusive to Universal/ Motown. As you and I know, that's where I did my last two albums. I wasn't excited about going back. I tried to do a Young Money/ Cash Money deal through another distributor, but it couldn't be done. At the end of the day, I'm still family, though."
Lloyd says that doesn't mean he will not be doing collabs with his "family" (Lil Wayne, Cash Money slash Young Money). "I don't feel the need to rush to release an album. It'll be out later this year. I got a couple of title options, but I'm not 100 percent sure yet," he explained. "I love the way Interscope gets down. I love the way Jimmy [Iovine, label head] gets down. I've always had a good working relationship with Polow [da Don, producer]. Having that creative partner is something I wanted to have, since the very beginning, to have that one creative partner. Mike [Jackson] had it with Quincy [Jones], Janet [Jackson] had it with Jimmy [Jam] and Terry [Lewis]. Justin has it with Timbaland. I feel that me and Polow have something special. I'm really looking forward to that. I also admire Jimmy [Iovine] as a producer. He loves producers. He's got Will.I.Am, Dr. Dre, Polow, the Neptunes, Timbaland. That's what he does. I'm looking forward to it."
T-Pain Says Lil Waynes Jail Time Delayes T-Wayne
The long-awaited duet album between T-Pain and Lil Wayne ("T-Wayne") will have to wait a little longer. T-Pain recently said that Weezy's one-year jail sentence will push the album back till 2011. Pain also says that he does not want to put the album out whiel Lil Wayne's "Rebirth" album is currently availble.
"The T-Wayne album, we're actually gonna wait until he gets out," Pain said in an interview. "He has so much going on. He has Rebirth out right now. I don't wanna interrupt that. We just gonna wait until he gets out to really get in on that. We recorded a bunch of songs. But, right now, it's time for him and his personal sh--. We definitely got an album's worth of material, but it's only an album's worth. It's nothing to pick from. We just got an album. We can put out whatever we feel like and say, 'Hey, this is T-Wayne's album,' or we can actually try to make it good. Like we're actually trying to make an album and say, 'This is the good T-Wayne album.' Rather than just record 12 songs and say, 'Here you go, mutha----as! I know you want it. You gonna buy it anyway, just 'cause you think it's good.'"
Stat Quo Works With Dr Dre On Detox
Stat Quo recently talked about working with Dr Dre on his long-awaited "Detox" album. "It's definitely gonna come out," Stat said. "I always said it was gonna come out in 2010 light years ago. I also at one point thought it would never come out. Being around Dre and the energy that's being created, all I can say is that it's incredible. It's totally left-field from what's going on — I really appreciate what he's doing as an artist. Even though from the outside looking in, if I'm other people, I'll be like, 'What's taking him so long?' But it's gonna be worth every second, every hour, every minute. Every week, every year we waited for the album."
"The songs I've heard since I've been around are all really special," he continued. "It's so important to hip-hop that this record comes. It's our saving grace. A lot of the radio stations are going rhythmic and going away from certain types of urban music. You can only go to contemporary station to get certain soul-type music. The whole platform is changing. An album like his can bring a boost to the music that's going on."
"When it was time to put a record out, the powers that be [at Interscope] that keeps the lights on at the company was like, 'We need either a 50 Cent or a Dr. Dre or an Eminem record," Stat tells. "So I had to make the decision: 'OK, it's time to leave.' We parted on good terms. Initially when I first left, I was upset because I wanted to put my album out under that umbrella. At the end of the day, my relationships with Dre and Em is still intact and it's all good."
